GRADUATED FROM FACULTY OF DESIGN IN KYIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN.
ORIGINALLY FROM KYIV.
BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF A FULL-SCALE WAR, LIVED AND WORKED IN KYIV.

THE FIRST FEELING THIS WAR BROUGHT WAS TERRIBLE, AND THEN I UNDERSTOOD THAT IT IS A TRUE FEELING OF CHANGE. IT IS A PROTECTIVE MECHANISM OF THE MIND AND THE ABILITY TO THINK STRATEGICALLY, NO MATTER.
SO OVER TIME THE SHOCK PASSED AND THE QUESTION ARISED “HOW CAN I SURVIVE, FEEL, LIVE, COMMUNICATE AND WORK IN THESE NEW CONDITIONS AND WHAT CAN I DO TO BE HELPFUL?”.

AFTER MOVING TO IVANO-FRANKIVSK IN WESTERN UKRAINE, I SAW THESE ENDLESS STACKS OF HUMANITARIAN AID CLOTHES AND THIS CALLED ME TO THINK ABOUT RECONSTRUCTION OF RUINS. IF WAR IS DESTRUCTION, WE MUST RESTORE OUR NEW WORLD IN THESE RUINS. WITH THE HELP OF LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS (PROMPRYLAD, METALAB, FRAMIORE, CENTER OF EDUCATIONAL INNOVATIONS), I COLLECTED ALL UNSUITABLE CLOTHES FROM HUMANITARIAN AID IN ORDER TO RECONSTRUCT IT INTO NEW FACILITIES.
AFTER LEAVING UKRAINE, YAROSLAVA CONTINUED WORKING WITH HUMANITARIAN AID FOR UKRAINIANS. THE PHOTO DEPICTS A PROCESS OF CREATING CLOTHES FROM LEFTOVERS OF FABRICS IN WARSAW.
